A fair summer’s day for a vintage market

If browsing a fair of all things vintage without travelling to a busy city centre is your idea of a brilliant day out, take time to travel to St Davids next weekend.

Oriel y Parc Gallery and Visitor Centre, managed by Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority, will be hosting Siop at the Parc – Vintage and Artisans’ Creations on August 4th from 10am to 4pm.

Kitchenalia is one of the vintage items available at the Siop at the Parc – Vintage and Artists Creations at Oriel y Parc on August 4th.

Oriel y Parc Manager Paula Ellis said: “There is such a wealth of artistic talent in our county and we are delighted as a Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Visitor Centre to offer support to our local crafts people.

“Following great success in Narberth, we look forward to welcoming this event to the north of county in the perfect marketplace – the courtyard of Oriel y Parc, St Davids."

Organiser Jeannie Bell said: “The fair started from a group of friends getting together who have developed their stalls over the past two years – we’re proud to say a very Pembrokeshire creation!”

“We will be selling vintage items including textiles and clothing, collectibles, shabby chic furniture, artisan products, toys, kitchenalia and flowers.

There will be up to 12 stalls outside in the courtyard of Oriel y Parc if the sun is shining or inside the Discovery Room if wet.”

Oriel y Parc, a Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Visitor Centre, which is also home to Amgueddfa Cymru – National Museum Wales in Pembrokeshire, also has a John Piper collection on display in the main Gallery, and a Graham Sutherland collection in Gallery 2.

It also includes a Visitor Centre, Artist-in-Residence Studio, a Tower which hosts local arts exhibitions and community-run classes, and a café.

For more information on this event please ring Oriel y Parc on 01437 720392.
